ADVOCACY & ACTIVISM

Liver Disease Awareness

In 2013 Nick was diagnosed with a rare liver disease known as Budd-Chiari syndrome and was listed for a liver transplant. Luckily, he was able to have an alternative surgery that saved his life. This profound and life changing experience inspired him to become an advocate for liver disease awareness and he has gone on to speak at several public events for the American Liver Foundation.

Nick has been a union member since 2010. He ran on The Coalition 2025 slate as a convention delegate alongside presidential hopeful Sean Astin and was later elected by his peers to serve at the union’s 2025 convention, under the newly elected Astin. He continues to volunteer on several Los Angeles local and national committees.

Hollywood For CalCare

Nick is a member of the group that is working to orgnaize Hollywood unions to support single-payer healthcare, also known as CalCare. The bill, AB1900, is currently live and we’re hoping to get it passed this year.
